YouTube Workouts of Note

The gym is a wonderful place, but one must leave one's living room in those short, dark evenings after work to go to the gym. This is not always desirable. Fortunately, YouTube was created, and within this glorious website are millions of workout videos. But not all workout videos were filmed and researched equally. I have a few favorite workout videos that I have found to be 1. simple 2. effective and (if it's possible) 3. enjoyable.

A. Ballet Beautiful

Mary Helen Bowers is a dancer/fitness trainer whose workout videos produce actual results through ballet moves. Most of her segments are roughly 15 minutes long. Her swan arm and butt series are probably my favorite, and they kill. It's not a workout for me until I've screamed "I hate you, Mary Helen" at least 5 times throughout the workout, but this woman knows her stuff. The burn is intense, but it's timed and gets good results. A link to her website is here.

B. 20 Minute Victoria Secret Workout by POPSUGAR

These POPSUGAR workouts are a popular choice right now, and rightly so. They are fast and yield positive results. I like this particular workout video best because it incorporates great workout reps that one can do wherever, whenever. Also, the burn at the end speaks for itself. I highly recommend this short but full-body workout.

C. Blogilates Ab Workout

This girl is ridiculously chipper as she talks about Taylor Swift's love life while teaching you how to inflict torture upon your abs, but her chatter at least draws the attention away from the torment. And her 15 minute workout for abs does its job. It's one of those videos that gets results and lets the viewer/follower become aware of what is happening in those muscles. Another burst of intensity, this workout video will give you the satisfaction of a good workout.

There are many more YouTube workouts available, but these are a few of my old-faithfuls that have proved effective. Sometimes, these short strengthening sessions make all the difference in the world.
