Tea's importance cannot be forgotten in today's coffee-obsessed society. The commodity on which England's foundation rests is alive and well. There are several tea companies in existence that prove tea should be in everybody's pantry. Below are some ideas of teas that all can enjoy.

Some have liquor and coffe bars, and some have shelves of tea. Pick a spot that is easily accessible yet close to your kitchen for convenient access to the stove. I picked this shelf that my grandfather made for both its perfect size as well as for its personal meaning to me.

If you are anywhere near Lake Geneva, WIsconsin, you must visit the Lake Geneva Spice Company. Their wonderful loose-leaf teas are priced reasonably and tase just as wonderul as they smell. My favorites include the Zen Blend (with a light touch of rooibos), Cranberry Harvest (an herbal mix), and White Peony (a calming late afternoon beverage).

Harney and Sons is always a good idea. Their silky sachets make every cup a pleasureable experience. The Paris blend is especially fragrant. It is available in most grocery stores or online.

This tea blended by Peet's Tea tastes like Paris smells. Go try it! You will never go back to basic Lipton.

Twinings is my all-time favorite tea bag brand, and their Earl Grey teas and variations are the perfect balance between strength and smoothness. Their Lady Grey is a lighter version of the Earl's.

This is my newest find from a tea store in downtown Branson, MO. This beaker-like product allows the tea leaves to steep and expand without hindrance. The filter at the top of course catched the leaves from falling into your favorite mug. The picture below showcases a new favorite white peach blend from my very own town in Kansas. You can see how the leaves have room to do their job and flavor the water to your exact tastes. Remember, herbal teas have more delicate leaves, and the water should not be brought to a boil for those blends.

Explore the teas in your own community as well as exciting new methods for creating the most civilized beverage the world is yet to see.
