Drugstore Makeup Routine

I love makeup and finding new things to try, but I also don't have hundreds of dollars to burn. I really enjoy finding drugstore makeup that does the job, and I don't feel bad for buying something new here and there versus one item costing $50 at Sephora. On a day-to-day basis, I don't wear a full face of makeup. I usually just do concealer where I need it or BB cream because I'd rather much get those 10 extra minutes of sleep. When I do put on all my makeup, I usually use at least most of these products. I do love my Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit, especially for setting under my eyes, but these products I think are just as good and are wayyy cheaper. I'm going to go in order of how I apply things.

Foundation

Starting with foundation, I love the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation. It includes a comfort serum to make it so comfortable and even has SPF 20. My skin is really weird when it comes to SPF, so when I found that this foundation works for me, I was really excited. This is the only foundation I will use in the summer. It is a full coverage foundation but it's not cakey. It sits well on the skin and looks natural. This shade is currently a tad dark for me since I am currently in my winter vampire state, so I mix it with just a tad of my Makeup Forever winter shade and that makes it a little thinner as well. You're probably wondering how 100 Ivory is too dark for me, but it's the lightest shade with warm undertones. Usually very fair girls have cool undertones and so the lightest shades are too pink for my skin.

Concealer

My concealer holy grail is the Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous concealer in the shade fair. This is their lightest shade and is perfect for my skin. It's a creamy, thin consistency and doesn't crease.

Setting Powder

On an every day basis, I usually use Anastasia's banana powder to set under my eyes, but this e.l.f. setting powder is really great too. Plus it's only $3 so what's not to love? It looks like there's a little bit of glitter in it, but I've noticed that it falls right out when I apply it so I don't look even more like a vampire.

Powder

If I apply concealer on any blemishes, I set it with this powder. This is the Covergirl Professional Loose Powder in shade 105 Translucent Fair. I also apply some of this on my cheeks so that my bronzer and blush apply and blend more easily.

Bronzer

Again, bronzer is something I use my Anastasia contour palette for. This is a new product to me and I've only used it a couple of times, but so far I love it! This is the Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer in the shade Light Bronzer. It's so creamy and smooth and doesn't look red on my skin. It also smells like a Pina Colada, so that's probably another good reason why I'm obsessed with it.

Blush

These are pretty new as well but so far so good! These are the Essence Silky Touch Blushes. I found these at Ulta, and they are only $2.99 each! On the left is shade 20 Babydoll which is like a deep baby doll pink (shocker) and on the right is shade 10 Adorable which is a little bit more corally. They are subtle with a little bit of a sheen and look great on my pale skin.

Highlight

I recently bought the Becca highlight in their new shade Pearl, and I think that this highlight is almost just as good. It's a white pearly highlight and pretty intense! This is the NYX Illuminator in the shade Ritualistic. I don't remmeber there being multiple highlights to pick from, but that's what it's called. I would show you inside, but I dropped it and it shattered a while ago! :( It still works just fine when it's loose though.

Brows

I don't fill my brows in completely a lot of the time, because it just takes me too long. Life is too short to be worried about perfectly filled in brows, so I use the L'oreal Brow Stylist Plumper in shade Light to Medium. This is perfect for just giving your brows a thicker, fuller appearance and keeps them in place without much work. There are some small fibers in it which is perfect for my tiny brows. There is a blonde shade as well, but my hair is not as blonde as it used to be and this is the perfect shade for me.

Eyeshadow

I got this palette a couple of weeks ago when it first came out. It's the Wet 'n Wild Au Naturel eyeshadow palette in Nudes Awakening. It's only $6 and the shadows are beautiful and pigmented. They're only available at Walmart, so go and grab it while you can!

Eyeliner

Again, because I'm lazy, I hardly ever do eyeliner. When I do though, it's always Maybelline's Eyestudio Gel Liner in Blackest Black. It works perfectly with the Sigma E65 brush and is the only eyeliner that I can work with since I have no skills when it comes to eyeliner.

Mascara

I cannot go anywhere without mascara because of my blonde lashes. It's amazing how mascara can make such a huge difference! I have always used and loved Maybelline mascaras, but a couple months ago I gave the L'oreal Telescopic Mascara in Carbon Black a try. It makes my eyelashes look so long an spidery, and I love it! Definitely one of my favorite mascaras of all time.

Setting Spray

This NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray does a great job. I think it works just as well as my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. I will say that the smell is a little funky, but it goes away once it dries. When you compare prices though, I think a weird smell that goes away worth it to save $22!

Since lip products are always different, I didn't want to show you a particular one. I will say that I love the Maybelline creamy matte lipsticks as well as Revlon's Lustrous Lipgloss in the shade Super Natural. That gloss is the absolute perfect nude for throwing on everyday.

Well, those are the drugstore products that I use as a part of my makeup routine! What are some of your drugstore holy grail items?
